While it seems like a necessity to many, not everyone has a bank account.

In fact, 60 million American adults do not have bank accounts , according to a survey by the FDIC (Federal Insurance Deposit Corp.). Actually, more Americans lack access to basic financial services than access to health care. The FDIC survey shows that 71% of the unbanked are households earning less than $30,000/year.
